April 2011: Garnishment of Accounts Containing Federal Benefit Payments

Effective May 1, 2011, Credit Unions must follow the new account review procedures when a garnishment order is received.  Jody Dabrowski, Credit Union Compliance Consultant explains the new requirements and gives insight into how to determine when federal benefits are received and which are exempt from garnishment.
