Jody Dabrowski shares highlights of the FFIEC Agencies Supplement to Authentication in an Internet Banking Environment which was released in June of 2011. The purpose of this supplement is to reinforce the guidance’s risk management framework and update the Agencies’ expectations regarding member authentication and periodic risk assessments. It also establishes minimum control expectations for certain online banking activities and identifies elements that should be part of each credit unions member awareness and education program. This supplement includes five specific supervisory expectations that the FFIEC stated examiners would be assessing starting in January 2012. Click here to download the presentation slides.
